What we repair

We diagnose and repair the systems that keep a pool running: pumps and motors, filters, heaters, visible plumbing, and the liner itself (including leak detection to find where the water's actually going). Every repair starts with a diagnosis and a written quote; you approve before we fix.

With a vinyl pool, the repair question is often really a liner question: "losing water" can be a plumbing leak, a liner leak, or a liner reaching end of life. Because liners are our specialty, you get the straight answer about which one you have, and what it's worth spending.

Common problems we fix

  1. Pump & motor problems

Won't prime, won't start, screaming bearings, tripped breakers: diagnosed and repaired or replaced with quality parts.

  2. Filter trouble

Pressure problems, poor water clarity, sand or DE in the pool, cracked components.

  3. Heater service

No heat, error codes, ignition failures: assessed and repaired so the September water is swimmable.

  4. Leak detection

Bucket-test triage to tell evaporation from a real leak, then locating it: plumbing, fittings, or liner.

  5. Liner repairs

Patches for isolated damage, bead re-setting for liners slipping out of the track, and a straight answer when a repair would be wasting your money.

Liner repair or liner replacement?

A single puncture in an otherwise healthy liner is a repair. A liner that's faded, brittle, wrinkled, and leaking in multiple places is a replacement. Patching it is paying twice. The honest rule we use: if the liner is past its lifespan and the repair list is growing, put the money toward the new liner. We'll show you which side of the line you're on.

Repair questions

My pool is losing water. How do I know if it's a leak?

Start with the bucket test: a bucket of pool water on a step, marked, left 24 hours. If the pool drops more than the bucket, you have a leak, not evaporation. That's a free diagnostic you can do today; then we find where it's going.

Do you repair pool heaters and pumps in-house?

We diagnose and service standard residential pool equipment with quality parts. If a repair needs a specialist (e.g., gas line work), we'll say so plainly rather than improvise.

How fast can you come out?

We respond to every request within 24 hours and prioritize active leaks and dead pumps in season. A pool that can't circulate in July can't wait a week.

Is it worth repairing an old liner?

Sometimes. An isolated tear in a liner with years left is worth patching. Multiple failures on a liner past its lifespan usually aren't; see our liner problems guide for the honest decision framework.
